Lyrical burlesque trækker på contemporary dance og henter inspiration fra jazz, jazz funk, moderne dans, ballet og hiphop. Contemporary dance er en rebelsk danseform, der bryder med det klassiske æstetiske og “korrekte” udtryk fra ballet - her danser vi i det tøj, vi har lyst til, ofte i strømper, og bruger gulvet som vores dansepartner.
Vi arbejder med fleksibilitet, styrke, koordination og mobilitet og øver os i at forbinde os med vores følelser og udtrykke os frit. Vi kan være både sårbare og stærke på samme tid, yndefulde og vilde, kraftfulde og blide. Vi udfolder vores kreativitet i koreografier og improvisation, og lærer samtidig at være til stede i forhold til hinanden og til det rum, vi danser i.

The class is open to all genders.
Lyrical burlesque draws inspiration from contemporary dance, incorporating elements from jazz, jazz funk, modern dance, ballet, and hip-hop. Contemporary dance rebels against the classical aesthetic and "proper" expression of ballet - here, we dance in whatever attire we desire and in socks, using the floor as our dance partner.
We focus on flexibility, strength, coordination, and mobility, practicing to connect with our emotions and express ourselves freely. We can be vulnerable and strong simultaneously, graceful and wild, powerful and gentle. We unleash our creativity in choreography and improvisation, while also learning to be present in relation to each other and the space we dance in.
